| At the Egyptian Museum. We've been listening to Story of the World's chapters on the Ancient Egyptians and the kids were super excited to see real mummies and hieroglyphics. |
Greger is obsessed with Daddy's car. (Gus was the same at this age.) As soon as Adam gets home he runs to the door, "Car! Car! Go! Go!" He's also been pairing up words (like "go away"). He needed some blood work at his last check up, and didn't even cry. He was actually more upset by the bandaid they put on him after. This month he figured out how to climb up on to Gus's bed. He is constantly trying to keep up with the big kids, and while he has some caution, he also takes some calculated risks that I'd prefer he didn't.

| Greger is pretty jealous of the kids' music classes. He's always peeking into Gus's class to see what they're doing. |
Luci has been wanting to play ponies lately. She's getting more imaginative and social in her play. She's enjoying the Sports Day homeschool co-op we've been doing. They're doing soccer this season. Her group mostly plays a lot of kiddie games to keep them interested. She also loves her music class, though her teacher pulled me aside to mention that she won't dance (they get to play different instruments, play games to learn about music theory, sing, and do some movement stuff). I asked her about it, and she told me that she does the Hokey Pokey, but she just wants to watch when they do the other dances.
Gus seems so grown up all of the sudden. His "imagining" time is very important in his day. He has elaborate games that he visualizes while he's running back and forth making explosion and propulsion noises. Later he draws them out or builds Lego vehicles that correspond. He says that he imagines best when he is barefoot and outside. The whole family respects his imagination times. Sometimes I'll ask Lu where Gus is and she'll tell me he's in the backyard imagining.

| Greger was so obsessed with the koi, I'm shocked he didn't fall in. |
 |
| We went to see the Monarch butterflies at their wintering spot in Natural Bridges. The park office had caterpillars and chrysalises for up close viewing. |
 |
| There are thousands of butterflies up there... |
 |
| We had a picnic on the beach after. |
 |
| Hot chocolate for the ride home. |
