Tahoe

The kids threw on their snow gear and ran out in back.

Much frolicking.

Baby brother was getting jealous.

So I bundled him up and took him outside. It wasn't all he had hoped.

Our adventurous Lu climbed to the top of the hill behind our condo. You can see the lake in the background.

Gus was digging the icicles.

Papa demonstrated how to make a snow ball.

This is just before Gus started pelting Papa.

It was Lu's first time on skis!

Gus enjoyed an apres ski cocoa.

My parents watched the kiddos while we hit the slopes.

We celebrated Greger's first birthday!

He had lots of help blowing out his candles.

The kids had also decorated his cake for him.

It took a while to convince him to take a bite (?!), but once he did, he was pretty happy.

There was so little snow this year that we were able to use our regular Lodge as a sledding hill. I have no idea what Greger's problem is here. He seems to be getting the better end of this deal.

This he enjoyed a little more.

Sled races!

We also went ice skating! The kids both did great.

This is Gus telling me his "power level." He was operating like a video game: every time he stumbled or fell, he lost energy points, and when he zeroed out, he'd have to leave the ice for a rest.

Sibling love.
