September

We were busy in September! Adam started a new job, Gus turned five, and we also participated in Annah's wedding (Sarah as bridesmaid; Gus as ringbearer and Luci as flower girl).

Since we're homeschooling Gus, I thought he needed a "first day" shot with Dad.

BenAnnah's Wedding

The wedding was at my parents' house, so we needed to get a hotel for a couple of nights. The kids enjoyed the included breakfast.
Girls lunch the day before.

Love this picture one of the other bridesmaids took of Annah getting ready with my parents' wedding pic in the background.

The best shot we got of our family.

The second best.

Cuties.
Stole this one of the happy couple from the photographer's FB.

Gus gets down on the dance floor.

Boy 2

September was a big month for Greger. He turned six months and started crawling and pulling up. He's now a man on the move, popping up all over the place. He's been doing "crunches," working on his abs, since he was about four months. They are paying off now because he can curl up to a sitting position from his back. It's kind of crazy.
He mastered sitting at the beginning of this month.

Then it was on to crawling. He's still pretty slow, but by the end of the month he mastered the cross-body hands and knees and he'll chase after everyone if he's left alone in a room.
"Guys? Whatcha doin'?"

Good thing I laid the blanket out for the baby.

Makin' a break for the backyard.

Holy guacamole, this kid loves to eat! He's been the most enthusiastic kid about solids and can really tuck it away.

The Girl

We are STILL working on potty training. Gus really responded to bribery with chocolate, so we went straight to that this time...turns out screen time with Gus's tablet is actually her biggest motivator. By the end of the month, we'd made some progress.

I told her she needed to stay in the bathroom until she went potty. She said she would stay forever and then she took a nap in there.
How often should you bathe your kids? As often as they look like this. You're welcome.

Morning playground time.

Sometimes selfies cheer up grumpy girls. Sort of.

Adam (looking at marker): "It doesn't say 'non-toxic' anywhere..." (It was on the box.)

I should make a book of her various napping positions. Why do so many of them look like she's posing for an album cover?

Boy 1

Gus took a science class this month. He was not impressed (he's a bit on the young side; plus, it was a drop off and he's not a fan of that).

He adores his baby brother.

He's constantly looking out for Greger and is a helpful second set of eyes for me.

I got him some hair pomade. At first it didn't seem like it would work. And then it did.

Other Stuff That Happened

Our heritage seed zucchini plant was overtaken by our tomato vines and snails but managed to produce one perfect zucchini.

We managed to get out for a (semi-annual?) date night.
