June

Harley Goat Farm

On our way home from our weekend in Half Moon Bay, Adam and I stopped by Harley Goat Farm in Pescadero. We tried to go there on our first anniversary, but it was closed that day. Seven years and three kids later, we finally made it.

Goats are totally like dogs.

Kids everywhere.

Suiting up to go into the cheese making area.
Making pretty cheese.

Mama and a llama.

Getting Out

We met some neighbors at Happy Hollow. Getting out with three kids is possible (just exhausting)!

The carousel is always a favorite.

Luci loves the goats (what can I say? June was a goat-y month for us).

Seester's Bridal Shower

As soon as I finished up Adam's party, it was on to my sister Annah's bridal shower, which was held on my sister Lissah's beach. She loves Friends, so that was our theme. I put a lot of hours into this...the kids heard the refrain "I'm working on Auntie's shower stuff" many, many times.
Me and the guest of honor.

A mimosa bar! On an antique buffet! With a chandelier hanging from a tree! On a beach!
(Most of that was my mom's doing, but the sign was all me, baby. I also hung the chandelier though.)

I made a bunch of signs that included Friends quotes.

More signs and Ball jars for water (because our last name is/was Ball, heh).

I also made these body scrub favors with MY OWN BARE HANDS. They are lemon lavender and one side of the tag says "Thanks for having a Ball with us!" (they are in Ball jars...can't stop, won't stop), and the other side says "from Annah's shower to yours." Seriously, I kill me.

I'm just going to not-humble brag because I stressed over this party, but in the end it turned out pretty cute, so I need to revel in it. The frame says "The One Where Annah has a Bridal Shower" because all the episodes are titled that way. That idea I got from Pinterest. Then I blew up one of their engagement photos and printed part of the lyrics of the opening song over the picture "Someone to face the day with/make it through all the rest with/someone I'll always laugh with/even at my worst I'm best with you." There are three pennant banners in the background (sad I didn't get a good shot of those) that each have a line from the theme song "I'll be there for you when the rain starts to pour/I'll be there for you like I've been there before/I'll be there for you 'cause you're there for me too."
Luci was dying to wear the cheesy crown I got for Annah to wear during the Friends trivia game (oh yes I did). She saw it in my party prep box the week before and cried when I wouldn't let her play with it. So as soon as she was allowed to join the party, she immediately requested the crown. I love this picture of all the girls fawning over her.
Such a cute picture with her Auntie!

Baby Gre's Three Month Photo Shoot

When you're the third kiddo, most of your baby pics also star your siblings. But one morning the other two were busy and baby boy was in a smiley mood, so I grabbed the camera and took a series of photos.

I love the three month stage. Squishy rolls and easy smiles.

Greger is mostly a pretty easy baby. There's sort of a laid back, jovial vibe to him.

Like all the Corkins kids, he does have his opinions. At around 8 weeks, he found his scream, and he will use it if necessary.

But he's the first one of my kids who consistently wakes up with a big grin. He's also the first one to sleep in to a pretty decent hour. Coincidence?

He's what I call my "chewiest" baby. He's always gumming anything and anyone he can get his mouth on.

He's a big guy, in the 99th percentile for height.

I'm wondering if he's an extrovert or an introvert...so far he seems more like Gus in that he enjoys having people around and seems to be in a better mood when we're socializing.

It feels like he's growing up so fast. People often comment that he seems very advanced. Not sure if this is from all the exposure to the older sibs, or just who he is. Or maybe it's just because I'm more aware this time of how fleeting infancy is and with each new stage I can't believe we're already there.

His brother and sister can't get enough of him. Since he was born, as soon as he starts crying they rush to him (and Kona goes too). I have to fight my way through the crowd to get to the baby.

Now that he's more awake and aware, they love to talk to and interact with him. When he flashes them a smile, they giggle and call out "mom, he smiled at me!" It makes their day.

Luci can't stop talking about how cute he is. She tells me about it all the time, and if somebody else mentions her little brother to her, she will also let them know that he is very cute. Gus has taken to the role of big brother like a fish to water. He loves to care for Greger, and I'll often send him over to go console Greger if he's fussing and I can't get to him right away.

It's fun having this little guy around.

 Father's Day

We celebrated Daddy's day with a trip to Brown Chicken Brown Cow for lunch and some handmade SuperDad cards from the kids.

Other Things That Happened

We occasionally took baths. Sometimes with bubbles.
Supervised by Daddy and Greger.

Cooperative water experiments were performed.
Gus and Lu had their first dentist appointment. Unfortunately my phone died before I got a pic of Gus, but they both did very well. Lu was so brave and did everything she was asked. Gus was a bit more skeptical, but he did eventually let them check him out. No cavities. Gus is actually very concerned with dental hygiene. He asks every night if his teeth are shiny and he'll often inquire about what foods might give him cavities.

This girl. She could eat her body weight in strawberries every day of the week. And her lounging pose slays me.

Greger is in very grabby stage. Best to set him up with a beer cup.
They love him.

And they love to accessorize him.

Here our little engineers are building a train in the backyard.
They took their work very seriously.
It was quite a contraption.

They had a very cute foreman.

Seriously. So cute.

Lu has been warming up to the little bro more and more.
This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship...right?
