Luci's 3rd Birthday

She is adventurous, quietly curious, fiercely independent, a chatty and outgoing introvert, and a force to be reckoned with. She is plenty of sugar and a whole lot of spice. She is our precious Lucia and today she is three.

Birthday Morning

Before Daddy left for work the morning of her birthday, he gave her his present.

It was a ring--her first piece of jewelry!
She'd been admiring the one I got for Christmas.

It was a slam dunk. She absolutely loves it.

Later that Day...

Her brother picked out a My Little Pony set just for her.

It's been so sweet to watch them play with the ponies together. Another slam dunk.

Mom's present was a tea set. It hasn't been faring as well...

Party Time

Lu was so excited about her pinata. She and Gus wanted to help fill it; Gus quickly tired of the activity, but Lu persevered, making sure that thing was stuffed full of treats. Then she kept asking me when she could break it.
I told her she had to wait until her guests arrived to break open the pinata. As soon as the first people arrived, she disappeared into the backyard where it was hanging, tore it down and triumphantly brought it in asking for the treats.
Since our Lu loves animals, I got these cute balloon kits for decorations/party favors.

The mini bundt cakes were a hit!

Buck up, kid. You're going to have to learn to party like you mean it it if you want to make it in this family.

Having big cousin Laura make an appearance is always a treat.

She loved opening presents. It was a good birthday.
