October

Both kids are saying such adorable things lately, and I've been trying to remember to record as many as possible--like how Luci says "nuggles" for snuggles and "hunky dunky" for humpty dumpty.

They are loving their gymnastics classes. Gus' trick:

 And Lu's:

We picked up a two-wheeler for Gus, and he was convinced that he could already ride it. Turns out, he does need to work on it a little, but he's doing really well.

They are becoming such good helpers. Luci in particular loves to scrub and wipe.

Gus and Luci are always very concerned about each other. Luci is great about bringing people things she knows are theirs or hears them talking about.

Gus seems to be a words of affirmation kind of guy. He constantly tells me and Lu how beautiful we are and that he loves us all the time. He'll often comment to me that Luci is a precious girl. He has been super into karate lately. He loves to show you his karate moves and how super fast he is. He's been learning about Samson in Sunday school and it's made a huge impression.

Luci is counting to ten in Spanish. She refuses to talk during Spanish class, but when we get home she's parroting everything she heard. Meanwhile, Gus has become the maestros go-to kid this year. He's eager to perform and is so earnest when he repeats things, pointing his finger and waving his arms as he concentrates and rolls his rs.

This month we learned that their sibling will be a brother! Gus was wanting another baby sister and was disappointed at first, but after we talked about how he could teach his little brother boy stuff, he brightened up. Lu claimed to want a brother but hasn't been terribly expressive.

Random conversation in the car while running errands:
G: "I love you mama! Do you want me to get you a diamond?"
M: "Umm, I guess so."
G: "Okay, I'll talk to daddy about it when he gets home."

Doughnut Sunday at church is always a good time.
