September

Gus has been really into telling jokes this month. A couple samples:

"How many kangaroos does it take to squish your head? 149! AHAHAHAHAAA..."

"Knock, knock. [Who's there?] Train tracks. [Train tracks who?] Train tracks booty! AHAHAHAHAAAA..."

The kid's a comical genius. (He fell off of his scooter, the helmet tipped back and his forehead smacked the ground--in case you're wondering what's on his face in these pics...)

As a professional little sister, Lu has been taking note of his antics and our amusement and tries to tell a few herself. Hers go something like, "Knock, knock. [Who's there?] ... Knock, knock!"

Gus turned four this month, and we celebrated his birthday while on vacation at a beach house in Pajaro Dunes.

Since we were away on the actual day, I also made cupcakes for our community group and filled a pinata for a little "party" with friends. Gus was convinced that he was turning five since he was having another birthday. I had to explain that he is still four, and now when people ask him how old he is he says he's "four again."
