Gus is starting to draw recognizable figures! He's also super into numbers right now, reading them out when he spots them but also counting anything that appears in multiples. He also seems to be starting to get addition.
Gus also started diving off the diving board at Grammy and Papa's this month. He's become so comfortable with the water this season.
Since her birthday party, I hear Lu singing "Happy birthday to Lulu" every now and then. She's talking up a storm now. I love that she generally refers to herself as Lulu, though she will say Luci or Lucia on occasion.
Lu is a girl who takes matters into her own hands. For example, Lu was hungry; mom was busy. Lu broke into the cupboard, found some taco shells, and generously shared them with her brother.
This month seemed to mark an independence spurt for both of them...we used to be able to go places like amusement parks, and they would mostly stay close to me and close together. Not now. Gus is wandering farther than he used to, and Lu has a mind of her own and is remarkably fast.
