 Lucia is a little monkey. She's climbing out of her crib like it ain't no thang. Then she pads down the hall and climbs into our bed. I wake up to find that I've been co-sleeping without consent.

On a recent trip to Fairyland in Oakland, Lu scampered up a 5.5 foot hill over a little water feature and climbed the turkey that was perched at the edge. By the time I realized what was happening, she was out of my reach.

He's been trying to involve her more as he's getting more into co-play himself. She's not quite there yet, though, and it's funny watching them work around each other. Luci's actually a particularly independent player, and Gus has always been a bit of a social animal but also cautious in strange situations. As much as Lu learns from Gus, it's cute how he's also learning from her. When she charges headlong into a new situation it emboldens him to go join her.
