Gus Turns 3!

 We had  a fishing party to celebrate our big boy's birthday.

Gus spent most of the party like this.

Unfortunately the birthday boy had a fever a couple days earlier, and he still was not a the top of his game. So sad because he'd been looking forward to his party for months.

Meanwhile, his friends seemed to have fun...

We actually took him to the doctor that afternoon because the fever had started three days earlier, and I was sure he would have perked up a little for his party. It was just a virus, of course. And of course he perked up pretty much as soon as he got home from seeing the doctor. He opened a couple of his presents that afternoon.

 

He opened the rest the next day, so it was nice that he got to enjoy everything.

Speaking of enjoyment, as you can see, little sister enjoyed herself thoroughly.
