We drove up the Costa del Sol stopping in Nerja, the ¨balcony of Europe¨to enjoy the view and some sangria (still not great), and then we headed into Granada.

We got up ridiculously early this morning to wait in line for tickets to the Alhambra, but it was absolutely worth it (8,000 people can´t be wrong!). So beautiful. Gorgeous. Love it. Took about a hundred pictures. Expect to see them poster size in our house.
At the top of the fortress.

Love.

We also saw the Royal Chapel here, which is where Ferdinand and Isabel (yes, the Christopher Colombus Ferdinand and Isabel) are entombed. You can see their caskets. We also went through the main cathedral, which is appropriately fantastic, but I´m still reeling from the Alhambra.

Carmen enjoys chocolate and churros.

Tomorrow we´re driving to Toledo and stopping in La Mancha on the way. I´m dividing all of our shared meals appropriately as soon as they hit the table in order to avoid maintaining my reputation as the piggy one.

I HEART Carmen, especially in pink pants.
